PHILOSOPHY – WE ARE NATURE

To see a new tree sprout from a seed is seeing the power of all life dance before our very eyes. To witness a flower bloom is watching the earth’s orchestra perform its cosmic concert. To be given the responsibility to take care of a plant, is to be entrusted with the gift of life. And to know that a plant continues to give even after its death, is to catch a glimpse of eternity.

I wish to share with you the beauty of Nature, and how it can breathe life into your home. Through this, may we all grow to see Nature in a different light. And through this, may we all be reminded to celebrate its limitless art forms, respect its infinite might, and maintain its delicate balance. And then maybe we’ll start to understand that we aren’t just part of the natural world, but indeed, we are Nature.

BOTANICAL SCULPTURES & INSTALLATIONS

“DNA DANCE” - BOTANICAL SCULPTURES AT NORRVIKEN TRÄDGÅRDAR (MAY 2019-present)

"CONNECTION" – BOTANICAL INSTALLATION AT NORRVIKENS TRÄDGÅRDAR. (2018-present)

Working in harmony with the scenic gardens at Norrviken, I have created a series of botanical installations for all visitors during the summer. Aptly titled "Connection", the installation highlights our bond to Mother Nature, the intertwining of life and death, and the interconnectedness of the past, present and future.

BOTANICAL LAMPS – INSTALLATION AT SLAGTHUSET, MALMÖ (2018-present)

I’ve had the honour of having my botanical lamps as a permanent installation at Slagthuset, a fine dining restaurant that opened its doors to the public in October 2018 in Malmö. The 6 lamps, with sizes ranging from 1 m to 2 m in diameter, take centre stage in the restaurant, creating a unique and unforgettable ambience. Find out more about Slagthuset here, or visit their instagram.

“MALMÖ SHARE - THE MONEY CAN PROJECT” - INSTALLATION (2014)

In collaboration with Buddhamag this project and social experiment was created to help people of Malmö share a little. We put up 8 installation pieces around different spots in Malmö. Each botanical installation contained a prominently displayed can, along with an instructional note, which everyone in Malmö could choose to leave money in, or to take money out. Read the full article on buddhamag.org here.

PRINTS

As a botanic artist, I've always been fascinated with the connection between Mother Nature and humanity. In this collection, titled “We are Nature", the closeup photographs of chestnut seedlings explore the similarities between our bodies and the reproductive systems of Mother Nature herself.
